I’m Starting To Think…

Since the job market isn’t exactly easy to get into nowadays (seriously, some starting positions require previous work experience to qualify for a job) and I can get easily defeated from rejection after rejection (especially after over 2 years of looking), I’m starting to think if I should do paid commissions.

The only problems are:

1. I don’t think I’m that good of an artist to get paid for my work. Drawing for free is one thing, but getting paid is another.

And 2. I would like to keep drawing what I like and get paid for it, but…you know, Copyright Laws and everything.

And that’s another thing I’ve wondered, how can some people (who don’t have any connections with the creators/companies) get paid for drawing Copyrighted content and not get sued up the arse for it? It’s always confused me.

But anyways, I wanna hear from you guys, do you think that I’m good enough (in my drawing abilities) to make commissions? Let me know in the Ask Box! Thank you, and have a nice day!

Today, March 19th, marks the 5th year anniversary of me making comics!(Can’t believe it’s already been 5 years)!

I can definitely say that I have improved over the years!

1st picture: 2009.

4th picture: 2014.

(Expect the color version of this comic soon)!

As requested by Nayrman, this is the Mega Man X4 thumbnail image.
I apologize of any and all errors, especially since A. I never drew anything Mega Man (X) related before, and B. I never played X4 before (let alone any of the X games). ^^’
I mean, I’ve seen footage of a few X games, but I, personally have not played any of them. I should probably get on that in the future…
Regardless, I hope you like it!

My mom’s paycheck arrives in 4d days, THIS SHIT…

Actually, it’s August, not July. I just checked.

These are just some random story ideas for The Powerpuff Girls that I had running through my head (that will most likely not come to fruition, but I couldn’t help but draw some doodles out). Once again, I apologize for the quality of the doodles. It’s for the same reasons as the PPG 15th Anniversary doodles. Big sketchpad, small/crappy scanner, etc.
There are 3 stories that focus on each individual Powerpuff.
For Bubbles, she became a really talented artist after all these years of drawing. She became so good, that a couple museum curators notice her talent and offers to have her artwork showcased in the museum. Not only that, but she’d get paid for each piece she submits. She happily agrees. And everything goes swell for her. But one night, Mojo is wandering around town, looking for a crime to commit. He then spots the museum, breaks in and finds and destroys Bubbles’ gallery. Next day, Bubbles finds out about what happened, get’s really ticked off, finds Mojo, beats the ever-loving crap outta him (almost nearly killing him), and then she goes into a small slump and moves on. She then finds out that they still want her work at the museum (since they had made a better room for her artwork), and promptly makes the first piece for the new room: her kicking Mojo’s butt.
For Blossom, her arm gets cut off during a battle and is replaced by a robotic arm that the Professor created…not exactly the most story driven of the three. And Buttercup has a (somewhat) unhealthy obsession with it. And they do get her real arm re-attached at some point. And the robotic arm (after a few modifications) can be used by any of the girls (much to Buttercup’s delight).
And for Buttercup, she is disappointed that her “special power” isn’t very useful in battle. She’s still proud that she’s the only one in town that can curl her tongue, but it’s not very helpful when kicking bad guy butt. So, it then plays pretty much like the episode ”Nuthin’ Special,” until she breaks down, thinking that she’ll never have a useful power. Until, they discover that she has the power to create/manipulate stars. Now she’s very happy that she has a different/unique power from her sisters.
Soooo, yeah. These are just some random (half-baked) story ideas that just ran through my head at one point. They probably don’t make much sense, but eh, they were interesting enough for me to make little doodles about them. Whether they’re good or not, that’s pretty much up to you.
